What is Mobile Voice?
Mobile voice, also called voice control and voice access, is technology that allows users to control their phones by speaking voice commands. Mobile voice leverages the recent advances that have been made in speech recognition technology. These advances now enable very accurate speech recognition regardless of accents and dialects. The result is that mobile voice is now available on iPhones and Android devices.
Mobile voice has made mobile phone features much more accessible to the disabled. Additionally, it provides convenience to people who are driving or whose hands are full. Mobile voice can be used to initiate phone calls, send text messages, play music, set reminders, and more. Complementing mobile voice are virtual assistants, such as Apple's Siri and Google Assistant, which combine speech recognition with artificial intelligence to allow users to perform tasks like calculating tips and identifying songs.
